  • The Carlstar Group Introduces the New Versa Trail™ ATR

    Jan 5, 2016

New radial all-terrain utility tire now available for sale at local dealers

Franklin, TN – January 5, 2016 - The Carlstar Group announced today the release of Versa Trail™ ATR tire under the Company’s well-respected Carlisle brand. The Versa Trail tire is the first all-purpose radial tire for side-by-sides, utility vehicles and ATVs.

“With the tremendous growth in side-by-side and utility vehicle sales, owners were demanding a tire that was capable of exceptional ride performance and durability across a variety of terrains,” said Dr. Rick Goetz, Vice President of Research and Development, The Carlstar Group. “The design enhancements and technology on the Versa Trail tire make this the ideal tire for both work and for play.”

Manufactured in Clinton, Tenn., The Carlstar Group’s R&D team experimented by combining ATR, or all-terrain radial construction, with a ¾ inch, non-directional tread pattern.  The result is a new tough-tread rubber technology that improves cut and chip resistance while extending tread. In addition, with a six ply rated carcass to reduce fatigue and a deep rim guard for styled wheels, the Versa Trail tire increases the terrain versatility and optimizes tire traction without compromising the vehicle’s comfort and handling.

The Versa Trail tire is available in 11 sizes for most side-by-side, utility vehicle and ATV makes and models. To find a local dealer, go to www.carlisletire.com.
